Sikkim: Former health minister M K Sharma Resigns from SKM Party Amidst Speculations of Joining SDF

Northeast Desk, 19th March: Singtam Khamdong MLA and former state health minister, Dr. M K Sharma, has officially tendered his resignation from the primary membership of the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) party.

Dr. Sharma’s resignation comes after his previous resignation from the position of State Health Minister in 2023, following controversies surrounding immigration issues.

In recent developments, former Lok Sabha MP and senior leader, PD Rai, has expressed speculation that Dr. Sharma may join the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) party, hinting at a potential political realignment in the region.
