Sikkim Governor and CM Celebrate Holi at Gangtok’s MG Marg, Emphasizing Unity and Harmony

Gangtok: Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang joined the Holi celebrations at MG Marg in Gangtok on March 14, reinforcing the state’s spirit of collective identity and communal harmony. The event, marked by a vibrant display of colors, was a testament to Sikkim’s tradition of peaceful coexistence among diverse communities.

Addressing the gathering, CM Tamang highlighted how Holi symbolizes inclusivity, serving as a reminder that despite differences in language, culture, and traditions, Sikkim remains united by shared values of peace and brotherhood. He expressed that the celebrations at MG Marg reflected the state’s unique identity, where people from different backgrounds come together in harmony.

The event was organized by the Sikkim Bihari-Marwari Society in collaboration with residents of the Gangtok constituency. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from people of all communities, showcasing the essence of cultural inclusivity that defines Sikkim.
