Sikkim Governor Welcomes Udaipur Teachers and Students on Educational Tour at Raj Bhavan

Gangtok – Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur welcomed a delegation of teachers and students from Udaipur to Raj Bhavan, creating a memorable experience for the visitors on their educational tour.

The Governor took the opportunity to showcase the cultural richness, natural beauty, and discipline that define Sikkim.

During the interaction, Governor Mathur praised Sikkim for its commitment to cleanliness and nation-building, sharing his admiration for the state’s vibrant landscapes.

He also paid homage to Major General Sagat Singh, a hero from the Indo-China War of 1967, highlighting plans to produce a documentary honoring his bravery and contributions.

Addressing the students, Mathur emphasized the importance of education and the role they will play in shaping India’s future. He discussed initiatives like the Vibrant Village Programme and the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’, urging the students to embrace values of honesty and integrity as they prepare to contribute to the nation’s growth.

The event also featured a spirited performance of the patriotic song “Dharti Sunariya” by female students, adding a heartfelt touch to the ceremony. Governor Mathur concluded by reinforcing Sikkim’s reputation as a land of wisdom and knowledge, inspiring the young visitors with the state’s rich legacy.
