Sikkim Krantikari Morcha Expels Three Prominent Leaders for Anti-Party Activities

Northeast Desk, 3rd June: The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), the ruling party in Sikkim, has expelled three key leaders for engaging in anti-party activities. The expulsion orders were issued on June 3 by the party’s general secretary, Pawan Gurung, following directives from SKM president Prem Singh Tamang (Golay).

The expelled leaders include:

  1. Karma Loday Bhutia: Former Vice-President Incharge of the Culture Wing and a former minister.
  2. Durga Prasad Pradhan: An ex-advisor and the former District Level Vice-President of the Chalak Morcha in Geyzing District.
  3. Avinash Yakha: General Secretary Press & Media of the Youth Wing.

According to the expulsion memo, these leaders’ primary memberships and all positions held within the party have been terminated effective immediately as of June 3, 2024. The decision underscores the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline and unity within its ranks.
