Sikkim: Landslide Closes National Highway 10 Between Gangtok and Siliguri

Northeast Desk, 26th June: National Highway 10, the crucial link between Gangtok and Siliguri, was closed on June 26 at Likhubhir due to a landslide that has left debris blocking the roadway. This disruption comes amid incessant rainfall that began early in the morning, creating significant barriers and raising safety concerns.

Known for its challenges during the monsoon season, NH-10 is currently grappling with the heavy rainfall. The highway serves as the only major route connecting Gangtok and Siliguri, making its closure a significant issue for commuters and transport.
