Sikkim: Massive Fire Breaks Out Near Ganday Jhora in Sichey

Gangtok: In the early hours of January 23, a massive fire erupted near Ganday Jhora in Sichey, Sikkim, sending emergency services into action.

The blaze, which began around 4 am which immediately spread, engulfing the area in flames.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene immediately and engaged in a rigorous operation to contain the fire.

Due to their swift response, the flames were brought under control, preventing further escalation.

While the fire’s intensity caused significant concern, no casualties have been reported.

Authorities are currently assessing the extent of property damage.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and preliminary investigations are underway to determine the source of the blaze.

This incident follows another significant fire in Sikkim’s Sisagolai area on January 13, where a house was destroyed at noon.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire started around 12 p.m. and rapidly consumed the property.

Quick action by the fire brigade prevented further damage, underscoring the critical importance of emergency response in minimizing destruction.

As authorities continue their investigations, the community is reminded to remain vigilant and prioritize fire safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
