Sikkim MP Indra Hang Subba Reaffirms Commitment to State’s Development During Winter Session
Gangtok: Sikkim’s Lok Sabha MP Indra Hang Subba has reiterated his commitment to representing the state’s interests during the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament, which began on November 25. Representing the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), Subba participated in a preparatory meeting with floor leaders of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on Sunday.
The meeting, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and attended by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, focused on strategizing for the session.
In a Facebook post, Subba reassured his constituents, stating, “For the people of Sikkim, I shall represent with all sincerity and commitment. I remain fully devoted to my responsibilities as a representative in Parliament, ensuring that the voices and concerns of Sikkim are heard at the national level.”
The MP emphasized his determination to follow up on promises made during previous sessions of Parliament. He noted, “I will raise the issues of Sikkim within the Parliament and in engagements with Central leaders. I will also pursue the assurances given during the monsoon and budget sessions earlier this year.”
Subba underscored his focus on securing Sikkim’s rightful share of resources and implementing development initiatives under the guidance of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang. “As directed by our Chief Minister Tamang-Golay, I will continue to push for the promises made to our people, ensuring adequate resources and support for the state,” he affirmed.
Subba’s active participation in the session reflects his dedication to ensuring that Sikkim’s needs and concerns are addressed on the national stage while fostering collaboration with central leadership to advance the state’s development agenda.
