Sikkim Police Arrest Man for Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Minor Girl
Gangtok: The Sikkim Police have arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl in Namchi district.
A case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against the accused.
According to the complaint filed by the minor girl, the accused lured her to his room on the pretext of giving her sweets. Once inside, he allegedly touched her inappropriately and solicited sexual favors, offering her money in exchange. The police have taken cognizance of the complaint and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
The investigation is currently underway, and further details are awaited. The police are working to gather evidence and build a strong case against the accused. The arrest of the accused is a step towards ensuring justice for the minor victim and her family.
