Sikkim: On the sixth day of the nomination process for the upcoming Bye-Election 2024, Prem Bahadur Bhandari has officially filed his nomination as the candidate for the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) in the 07-Soreng Chakung Assembly Constituency.
Bhandari submitted his nomination papers to Returning Officer Dhiraj Subedi, marking an important step in the electoral process.
According to the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) schedule, the deadline for submitting nominations is set for October 25, 2024. Following this, the scrutiny of the nominations will occur on October 28, and candidates will have the opportunity to withdraw their nominations until October 30.
As the 07-Soreng Chakung constituency prepares for the elections, key political parties are actively participating in the nomination process, highlighting the competitive nature of this bye-election. The upcoming election is expected to draw significant attention as candidates vie for the support of the electorate.
