Sikkim Showcases Green Investment Potential at Ambassador’s Meet Ahead of NE Investors Summit 2025
Gangtok: Sikkim emerged as a key spotlight at the Ambassador’s Meet for the North East Investors Summit 2025, held on April 15 at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi.
Representing the Himalayan state, Minister for Commerce & Industries and Tourism & Civil Aviation, Tshering T. Bhutia, made a compelling pitch for investment in Sikkim’s green and sustainable sectors.
The high-profile meet, organized by FICCI in collaboration with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MoDONER), drew participation from over 40 countries. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with senior dignitaries from the Centre and participating nations, took part in the deliberations that centered around organic farming, tourism, renewable energy, IT, and health & wellness—sectors that align with the strategic development vision of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay.
Accompanied by Shri M. Ravikumar, Director (MSME), Minister Bhutia showcased Sikkim’s investor-friendly climate, highlighting the progressive policies and proactive governance that have positioned the state as a leader in sustainability. “Sikkim is rapidly emerging as a recognized green investment hub in the Northeast,” Bhutia stated, emphasizing growing international interest in the state’s eco-sensitive industries.
The Ambassador’s Meet served as a crucial prelude to the North East Investors Summit 2025, scheduled to be held in May in New Delhi. With its unique blend of natural assets and policy-driven development, Sikkim is poised to attract impactful investments aimed at fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the region.
