Sikkim Tourism Assured Safe Despite Road Closure to North Sikkim, Says TAAS
Northeast Desk, 24th June: The Travel Agents Association of Sikkim (TAAS) has assured travelers that Sikkim remains a secure and inviting destination, despite the temporary closure of the road to North Sikkim.
Sonam Norgay Lachungpa, President of TAAS, emphasized that all major tourist spots in Sikkim, such as Gangtok, Nathula, Tsomgo, the Silk Route, Pelling, Yuksom, Namchi, and Ravongla, are fully operational and accessible to visitors.
To bolster traveler confidence and promote tourism in the region, TAAS has launched an initiative encouraging hoteliers and tour operators to create and share videos showcasing the safety and charm of Sikkim. This effort aims to highlight the region’s breathtaking landscapes and renowned hospitality.
Despite the temporary inconvenience caused by the road closure to North Sikkim, TAAS remains committed to ensuring a memorable and secure experience for tourists exploring the diverse attractions of Sikkim.
