Sikkim Youth Launches Gold Investment App ‘Zelt’, Backed by CM Prem Singh Tamang

Gangtok: In a stride towards promoting local innovation and digital entrepreneurship, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on April 8 launched Zelt, a homegrown mobile application dedicated to gold-related investments. The app has been developed by Abishek Goyal, a young entrepreneur from Lall Market in Gangtok.

Describing it as an “innovative platform,” the Chief Minister praised the app’s secure and transparent interface, which enables seamless transactions between gold buyers and sellers. Taking to social media, Tamang expressed pride in the youth-led initiative and commended Goyal’s commitment to building an accessible financial tool within the state’s startup ecosystem.

“Zelt offers a user-friendly experience while ensuring direct connectivity between sellers and buyers, making gold investments easier and safer for all,” Tamang stated.

He further applauded the spirit of entrepreneurship demonstrated by Goyal and extended his best wishes for the young developer’s future projects. The launch marks a significant moment for Sikkim’s tech-driven aspirations, reflecting the growing momentum of youth participation in the financial technology space.
