Sikkim’s Yangang bags ‘Most Innovative Tourism Product of the Year’ award

Big breakthrough for Sikkim Tourism as Yangang in South Sikkim bags “MOST INNOVATIVE TOURISM PRODUCT OF THE YEAR“. In one of the most prestigious & only region-based “Himalayan Hospitality & Tourism Awards” of the country endorsed by Ministry of Tourism , Government of India (Kolkata office) Yangang in South Sikkim has been named as the most innovative tourism product of the year with the introduction of number of iconic projects coming up in the area and the start of a unique marketing campaign. Celebrating the World Tourism Day this event took place in Siliguri.

This event has been endorsed by Ministry of Tourism , Government of India (Kolkata office) and was organized by HHTDN & supported by ACT. Mr Robin Basnet, Entrepreneur and Tourism Activist from Yangang & Ms Sharmista Pradhan, Deputy Secretary/ Protocol Officer under Home Deptt, GOS, Siliguri received this award on behalf of Sikkim in the presence of honourable tourism Minister of West Bengal Shri Gautam Deb and Regional Director of Tourism Govt of India Shri Sagnik Choudhury. In a few words Robin introduced Yangang as the new tourism destination and appealed the fraternity to work together to develop the region in a sustainable way.
