Six jawans injured at Raipur railway station in explosion
Guwahati: At least six personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers were injured in a blast at platform number 2 of the Raipur railway station in Chhattisgarh in the wee hours on Saturday.
According to reports, the explosion occurred after a box containing an igniter set fell on the floor in a CRPF Special Train at the railway station.
The jawans of the CRPF’s 211 battalions were on their way to Jammu on a special train when the grenade in the dummy cartridge box exploded.
Six personnel sustained injuries and have been evaluated at the hospital, one of whom head constable Chouhan Vikas Laxman was admitted to a private hospital here, while others left for their destination after being administered first aid.
It may be mentioned that around 29 detonators exploded.
