Six Officers from Capital Police Receive DGP Commendation Disc for Outstanding Contributions
Six exemplary officers from the Capital Police have been honored with the prestigious DGP Commendation Disc, recognizing their outstanding contributions to law enforcement, public service, and community welfare. These officers have brought pride to the ICR region with their dedication and excellence in their respective fields.
The awardees are:
- Inspector Khiksi Yangfo (OC P.S. Itanagar): Recognized for his exemplary role in anti-narcotics operations, successfully solving high-stakes cases, and leading critical enforcement actions with exceptional dedication.
- Inspector Nich Rupa (WPS Itanagar): Honored for her unparalleled efforts in combating human trafficking, including dismantling a trafficking ring in Delhi, rescuing several minor girls from North-East India, and resolving three major trafficking cases.
- ASI T. Yirang (OC Wireless Telecom, WT): Lauded for his expertise in managing the PCR system in ICR and his key role in rolling out the PINK PCR system, which has enhanced women’s safety in Itanagar.
- Head Constable Taba Kacha (P.S. Niti Vihar): Recognized for his exceptional decade-long service and the efficient management of the Niti Vihar Police Station, ensuring smooth operations and security.
- Constable Ngangam Ngucho (Public Services Branch): Awarded for her instrumental role in implementing the e-devices scheme, which won the Chief Minister’s Excellence in Public Administration Award.
- Constable Kunal Tana (P.S. Itanagar): Celebrated for his unmatched efficiency in delivering over 5,000 summons and warrants within a year, significantly improving the system’s effectiveness.
