Six suspected ISI linked persons arrested
Guwahati: The Delhi Police Special Cell has said it has arrested six men which include two suspected Pakistan-trained “terrorists”.
Addressing a press conference, Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Neeraj Thakur said that based on a specific input the accused were arrested. Among them, one was arrested from Kota city in Rajasthan while two were held in Delhi. Apart from these, three others were caught in Uttar Pradesh.
The six arrested terrorists have been identified as Jan Mohammed Sheikh from Maharashtra, Osama Sami from Delhi, Lala from UP’s Rae Bareily, Zeeshan from UP’s Prayagraj, Mohd Amir Javed from Lucknow.
The police claimed that among these arrested persons, Osama and Zeeshan have been trained in Pakistan.
The police informed that their group had around 15 people who could speak Bangla and these people might have taken for training to Pakistan.
The police further added that their were two teams. One of the team was being coordinated by Anees Ibrahim , the brother of gangster Dawood Ibrahim. This group was tasked with getting illegal arms into India from across the border. On the other side the team had planning of arranging funds.
