SKM to Hold Tiranga Yatra in Honour of Operation Sindoor and Armed Forces on May 16

Gangtok: The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) has announced it will organise a Tiranga Yatra on May 16 to commemorate the valour of the Indian Armed Forces and celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang will lead the rally, which is set to begin at MG Marg and culminate at Paljor Stadium in Gangtok.

According to party officials, the event is aimed at fostering a spirit of patriotism while paying heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices and bravery of India’s military personnel. Operation Sindoor, being recognised as a moment of national pride, will be central to the procession’s theme.

SKM has extended an open invitation to all residents of Sikkim to participate in the Yatra, highlighting the importance of collective remembrance and solidarity with the armed forces. Party representatives called for widespread public involvement to make the rally a resounding expression of unity and national respect.
