Smart TV distributed among students in Sikkim under E-Vidhya scheme

Sikkim became the first state to implement the E-Vidhya scheme. Chief Minister of Sikkim PS Tamang today handed over the android smart TV to student along with Airtel dish. As many as 37000 thousand TVs will be distributed in days to come. It was handed over today on the occasion Constitution day which was celebrated at Chintan bhawan which was organized by Education department, Government of Sikkim.

Cabinet has already approved a sum of ₹ 107,30,00,000/- (Rupees one hundred seven crores thirty lakhs only) and post-facto sanction of ₹ 30,00,00,000/- crores (Rupees thirty crores only) for procurement of Smart Android TVs for distribution to students of Government schools through the Education Department under e-Vidya Scheme.

Today, on the occasion felicitation of national awardee teachers 2019-20, Presentation of state and commendation awards to Teachers and cash awards to CBSE topper students, presentation of governor’s medal to the NCC cadets (36 number), Honouring eminent sports personalities of Sikkim was also held.
