Smuggled Cattle Seized from Passenger Bus at Assam’s Missa

Guwahati: At least 35 smuggled cattle were found inside a passenger bus that was stopped by authorities at Missa in Assam’s Nagaon district.

The police began conducting frisking operations in response to specific input at Missa on Friday night.

According to reports, a nightsuper bus that was travelling from the Eastern Assam side and heading toward Meghalaya was stopped early on Saturday morning.

The conductor and driver jumped off the bus when they felt threatened. But the livestock were saved by the cops.

The bus has the licence plate AS01DC4442.

It should be noted that smugglers are utilising novel methods to move cattle from one location to another.

Police have opened an investigation and have lodged a case.
