Soreng DEO Ensures Readiness for General Elections 2024 Counting Day
Northeast Desk, 24th May: With anticipation building for the counting day of the General Elections 2024, Soreng District Election Officer (DEO) Ms. Yishey D Yongda took charge today, overseeing the preparations for this critical event. Chairing a comprehensive meeting at the District Administrative Centre (DAC) in Soreng, DEO Yongda, along with a panel of officials, meticulously reviewed the arrangements to ensure a seamless counting process.
The meeting included Dhiraj Subedi, Deputy DEO-cum-ADC, and Gaayas Pega, ADC (Development), as well as Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and all line-department Nodal Officers. The focus was on scrutinizing the preparatory measures and distributing directives among all stakeholders.
DEO Yongda highlighted the significance of each Nodal Officer’s role and responsibilities in ensuring timely and effective arrangements for the counting process. She stressed the need for meticulous planning and department-wise coordination at the Counting Centre, urging everyone to maintain high levels of alertness and readiness.
The session aimed to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to facilitate a smooth and efficient counting process, reflecting the district’s commitment to upholding the integrity and transparency of the election results.
