Sourav Ganguly tests positive for Covid-19
Guwahati: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly has tested positive for Covid-19 in Kolkata. Ganguly has been admitted to the Woodlands hospital in the city.
According to reports, his blood samples will be sent for genome sequencing to ascertain if he has infected the Omicron variant or not.
The former captain has attended the premiere of Bangla superstar and TMC MP Dev’s latest film Tonic which was held on December 24 where he was seen with celebrities like Nusrat, Yash, babul Suprio, TMC MLA Madan Mitra, and others.
He was taken to Woodlands Nursing Home and has been given medication. Ganguly is currently stable, reports claimed.
Earlier this year, Ganguly was admitted twice after complaining of chest discomfort, and this is the third time he has been hospitalized.
