National Desk, 18th November: Indian Railways has introduced a special train to facilitate cricket enthusiasts traveling from New Delhi to Ahmedabad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 finals. The move aims to provide relief to fans facing high airfares, ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000.
This special train offers seats at more affordable rates compared to airfare, ranging from Rs 620 for a sleeper seat to Rs 3490 for a 1st AC seat. The 3AC economy and 3AC seats are priced at Rs 1525 and Rs 1665, respectively. The train is set to depart from Delhi on Saturday evening, reaching Ahmedabad on Sunday morning. After the match concludes, it will depart from Ahmedabad at 2:30 am.
In addition to this special train, three similar trains are scheduled between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The much-anticipated World Cup finals between cricketing powerhouses India and Australia will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled a lineup of events and celebrities for the summit clash, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and an airshow by the Indian Air Force scheduled after the toss at 1:30 pm.
