Special Trains Deployed from Katihar Division to Ease Chhath Festival Rush on November 8

In response to the surge of passengers for the Chhath festival, the Katihar division of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced the operation of four special train services on November 8, 2024. These trains are intended to provide additional support and ease congestion at busy railway stations.

Details of the Special Train Services:

  1. Train No. 07541: The Katihar-Dauram Madhpura special service will depart from Katihar at 19:00 hrs and arrive in Dauram Madhpura at 22:00 hrs.
  2. Train No. 07540: The Katihar-Manihari special service will leave Katihar at 20:30 hrs, reaching Manihari at 21:30 hrs.
  3. Train No. 04653: Departing from New Jalpaiguri at 06:45 hrs, this special train will arrive at Amritsar Junction at 16:20 hrs the following day.
  4. Train No. 05697: Running between New Jalpaiguri and Guwahati, this service will start from New Jalpaiguri at 11:15 hrs and reach Guwahati by 19:30 hrs.

To ensure smooth travel, extensive arrangements have been made at the primary stations. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has been deployed to maintain orderly boarding and crowd control. Designated waiting areas equipped with public announcement systems, train display boards, seating, and CCTV surveillance are available for passenger convenience.
