Guwahati: A severe road accident late Tuesday night on GS Road, Guwahati, left a pedestrian critically injured after being hit by a speeding dumper. The vehicle also damaged three parked cars, two of which were completely wrecked.
Eyewitnesses reported that the dumper driver, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the vehicle before hitting the pedestrian from behind and dragging him a considerable distance. The victim sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital by police.
The dumper, identified by its registration number AS25CC6856, caused further chaos when it crashed into parked vehicles, creating a scene of destruction.
Upon receiving reports of the accident, Bhangagarh Police swiftly arrived at the scene to take necessary action. Investigations are currently underway, and authorities are expected to take strict action against the driver for reckless and negligent driving.
