Sreesanth set to play Cricket this year
The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) has decided to consider controversial fast bowler S Sreesanth for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season after he completes his seven-year ban in September 2020. According to Kerela cricket team coach Tinu Yohanan the furious pace bowler will be considered in the Kerela Ranji team after he clears the fitness test and if his performance is upto the mark.
In May 2013 the Delhi police had arrested Sreesanth and two of his Rajasthan Royals team mates Ajit Chandilia and Ankit Chavan were charged of spot- fixing. BCCI had imposed a life ban on him for the fixing charge and later he fought a long battle which in 2015 a special court in Delhi acquitted him of all charges.
But in 2019 the Supreme Court upheld his guilt but asked the BCCI to reduce his measure of punishment. Later on BCCI had reduced his life ban to seven years which is set to end in September 2020.
