Srinagar: A 19-year-old girl who sustained severe injuries in a grenade attack in Srinagar on Sunday succumbed to injuries at SMHS on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Rafiya daughter of Nazir Ahmed, resident of Hajratbal, Srinagar.
According to reports, Rafiya breathed her last at around 8 am today.
With the death of Rafiya, the death numbers in grenade attack rises to two and the number of inured persons is around 30.
It may be mentioned that the incident took place on Sunday evening at the Hari Singh High Street market of Srinagar.
As per Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the attack was aimed at security forces and police officers stationed for duty in the area.
The injured persons were immediately rushed to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital.
