Guwahati: A student of the Dibrugarh University sustained injuries when he “accidentally” fell from the terrace of a hostel building on the campus in Assam on Sunday.
The incident took place at Padmanath Gohain Baruah Students’ Hostel.
The injured has been identified as Anand Sarma, a student of Commerce.
According to reports, Anand fell from the hostel building’s second floor.
Following the incident, Anand was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, it is yet to be ascertained as to how the student fell from the second flood however, it is suspected to be a ragging-centric incident.
The incident is being investigated into by university authorities.
