Subramaniam Swamy: Warn about Privatisation of Railway
Guwahati: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Union Minister Subramanian Swamy took Twitter to share his opinions on railway privatisation..
Swamy warned the government that “it should clarify its position on the matter soon, or it will face the wrath of the unemployed youths”.
Swamy also said that “this is being correlated with repeated cancellation of employment recruitment exams in States.”
His further added, “I warn the government to clarify its position, otherwise youth riots are inevitable.”
The word is being spread or getting around that now Modi government is planning to privatize the Railways. This is being correlated with repeated cancellation of employment recruitment exams in States. I warn the govt to clarify its position, otherwise youth riots are inevitable

Swamy expressed concern about unemployed teenagers demonstrating over delays and changes in recruitment policies. The delay and cancellation of exams are being linked by the youths to the government’s secret privatisation goal.
However, railway privatisation has been a sensitive issue in India for many years. The issuing of a notification for the recruitment of assistant loco pilot and technician (ALP and Technician) in the Indian Railways sparked the most recent round of protests. Unemployed youths who had sat for the Railway Recruitment Board’s (RRB) Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) test hoisted banners and sang slogans opposing the government’s plan to privatise the railways. The demonstrators said that the administration was not serious about providing jobs for the youth. They also urged that the administration clarify its position and rescind the notice.
Meanwhile, Swamy is always raising concerns about the government’s economic, GDP, GST, and foreign policy shortcomings. In our country, the railway is the most significant mode of transportation. It is the largest PSU in terms of employment generation and rail network. It is India’s lifeline and a profitable institution, yet it has been hobbled by bureaucratic corruption that damages Indians’ interests.
It may be noted that Subramaniam Swamy has previously expressed concern about border issues between India and China.
