Guwahati: Seasoned and successful state player Sumitra Pujari won the gold medal in the 40+ Women’s Doubles at the Yonex Sunrise All India Masters Ranking Badminton Tournament 2023.
The competition was organised by the Udaipur Badminton Association under the sponsorship of the Rajasthan Badminton Association and the Badminton Association of India from January 17 to January 24, 2023.
The shuttler also won the Bronze Medal in the 40+ Mixed Doubles in this prestigious competition, which was held at R L Chaufla Badminton Academy and Chawat Sports Academy in the city of Udaipur.
Sumitra Pujari partnered with Radhika Madhur Ingalhalkar of Maharashtra for her doubles match and Joseph Sumi of Nagaland for their mixed doubles match as a member of the Guwahati-based Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.’s sports team.
