Sunit Antil brings India a Javelin Gold
Guwahati: Sunit Antil has won another gold medal for India. Antil brought the medal in the men’s javelin throw (F64) event at the Tokyo Paralympics shattering the world record not once but thrice.
Sumit Antil’s record-breaking performance gave India its second gold at the ongoing Paralympics in Tokyo after 19-year-old Avani Lekhara won the women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing (SH1) event earlier.
Antil had set a World Record with his first 66.95M throw, after that he broke his own record with his second 68.08M throw. Then again on his 5th throw, he achieved a 68.55M distance.
With these throws, he won the men’s Javelin F64 Gold for India at the Tokyo Paralympics.
