Suspected crude bomb found near Assam-Mizoram border
Guwahati: Tensions between Assam and Mizoram rose once again after a crude bomb was recovered at an under-construction site in Assam’s Cachar district.
According to reports, locals found the suspicious object at the Khulicherra sector of the district and immediately informed the police.
A police team led by the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) rushed to the spot and recovered the object.
It was further informed that the suspected bomb was weighed around three kilograms.
Earlier, on October 30, a low-intensity bomb blast was reported near the inter-state boundary in the Bhaicherra area of Assam’s Hailakandi district.
