Swearing-in Ceremony of Several Ministers Including CM, Dy CM in Karnataka Today
National Desk, 20 May: Senior Karnataka Congress leader Siddaramaiah will be sworn in as the chief minister of the state today. Karnataka Congress president D K Shivakumar will also take oath as deputy chief minister.
Several Ministers including Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister will sworn-in at around 12:30 pm today.
Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the chief minister and his council of ministers at the swearing-in ceremony to be held at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore at around 12.30 pm. Earlier in the day, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge spoke about the swearing-in ceremony of Karnataka in Delhi.
Eight MLAs, including the chief minister and deputy chief minister, will be sworn in as ministers. The Congress has already released a list of those who have been sworn in as ministers. The list of ministers who took oath includes Congress MLAs Dr G Parameshwara, K H Muniyappa, K J George, M B Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, Priyanka Kharge, Ramlinga Reddy and Jamir Ahmed Khan.
