The Meiho University and government of Taiwan will donate Rs.45 Lac worth of Medical Masks to Mizoram as solidarity towards Mizoram’s combat against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. On the other hand Meiho University of Taiwan will donate Rs.15 lac worth of advanced RT-PCR test kits to the state.
The Mizoram state chief minister Zoramthanga tweeted that” Taiwan Govt is donating Rs. 45 lac worth medical masks as solidarity towards Mizoram’s combat against COVID-19 pandemic. Meiho University, Taiwan is donating Rs.15 lac worth of advanced RT-PCR test kits. Taipei to India tomorrow!”
This donation will certainly bring a new angle to India-China relations as the Chinese government doesn’t recognize Taiwan as a country.
