Taj Mahal Gets Notice For Rs 1 Crore Water Bill For 1st Time In History
Guwahati: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has received notices from the Agra Municipal Corporation demanding it to pay property taxes and water bills for the historic Taj Mahal, officials said.
A notice for water tax and one for property tax have been issued, said ASI officials.
The ASI has been ordered to pay between Rs 1.40 lakh and Rs 1 crore as water tax.
ASI’s Superintending Archaeologist(Agra circle) Raj Patel told ANI, “A notice for water tax and one for property tax has been issued. The property tax is around Rs 1.40 lakh and the water tax is around Rs 1 crore”.
