Jubilant scenes unfolded in Margherita on Saturday, December 7, as the Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS) Margherita branch celebrated the historic appointment of Rupesh Gowala, General Secretary of the ACMS Central Executive Committee, as a Cabinet Minister in the BJP-led Assam government under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The celebrations were vibrant, with ACMS members bursting crackers, performing the traditional Jhumur dance, and distributing sweets.
