Guwahati: A school teacher was suspended for allegedly abusing a student in the institution’s premises in Kamrup district of Assam.
Based on the complaint, a case under several sections of the IPC and POCSO was filed against the accused.
The accused have been identified as Apurba Thakuria.
According to reports, Thakuria is an assistant teacher of a government school.
A show cause notice was served to Thakuria on October 14 by Kamrup Inspector of Schools.
However, he did not respond to the show cause notice till the issuance of the suspension order.
Later on October 15, Thakuria was put under suspension with immediate effect.
