Teenage Girl Rescued from Haryana in Operation Against Inter-State Human Trafficking
Guwahati, 29th September: In a significant operation targeting an inter-state human trafficking racket, the Barpeta police successfully rescued a teenage girl from Rohtak, Haryana.
According to reports, the teenage girl, who hails from the Barpeta Road locality in Assam, was allegedly deceived under the pretext of a job opportunity and taken to Haryana on September 20, 2023.
A missing person complaint was subsequently filed at the Barpeta Road Police Station, prompting the Barpeta Police to initiate a search operation.
This operation culminated in the rescue of the teenage girl from Haryana. However, the individual responsible for deceiving and trafficking the girl remains at large, as efforts to apprehend the pimp continue. This operation underscores the authorities’ commitment to combatting human trafficking and ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.
