Telangana CM To Launch National Party this month
Guwahati: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will launch Bharatiya Rastra Samiti, a national political party this month.
The move was made in order to gain support from all opposition leaders ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
According to reports, Rao met with numerous opposition leaders including Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav at his residence in New Delhi in May this year to discuss a variety of national concerns.
Rao met with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and JD-S leader HD Deve Gowda on May 26 arguing that a change at the federal level is unavoidable.
The Telangana chief minister has been working tirelessly to form a strong anti-BJP coalition with all opposition parties including the Congress with the primary goal of deposing the saffron party from office at the national level.
He’s also been traversing the country to drum up support from politicians from all sides of the political spectrum. He is also seeking support from Telangana non-resident Indians residing overseas, who have unanimously endorsed Rao’s decision to enter national politics.
Telangana NRIs’ coordinator B Ganesh is said to have moved a resolution requesting NRI support for the Chief Minister’s plan to run a vigorous campaign against the ruling BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
