This decision comes following a directive from the Superintendent of Police, Bishnupur, as outlined in letter No. C-2/3/5P-BPR/2024/7139 dated June 22, 2024.

During the relaxation period, individuals are strictly prohibited from carrying arms or any items that could potentially incite violence. Shops and retail outlets are permitted to operate within the designated hours of 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, businesses must strictly adhere to the specified timeframe, and any delay in closing will be considered a violation of the curfew regulations.

The relaxation excludes specific areas, particularly Moirang Sub-Division along the route from Mukta High School, Kokilabon Moirang to Hemam Nilamani Ground, Ngangkha Leikai, Moirang. Movement in these areas will be regulated as per the directives provided.

Essential service providers including health workers, PHED staff, MSPDCL employees, Education Department personnel, Municipal Council officials, and members of the media will continue to be exempt from the curfew restrictions beyond the relaxation period.

Authorities emphasize the importance of strict adherence to these guidelines to ensure public safety and order in Bishnupur district. Any violations of the curfew regulations will be addressed according to established government protocols and applicable laws.

Residents are urged to cooperate with law enforcement and administrative authorities to facilitate a smooth implementation of these measures during the temporary relaxation period.
