The IIT Madras campus has been placed under temporary lockdown after its 5 staff members and 66 students tested COVID positive in last two weeks. The Government of Tamil Nadu has also instructed the institute to test all the students of the campus.
The authorities of IIT Madras has already issued an official circular to shut down all the facilities and departments with immediate effect on Sunday.
