Guwahati: A 40-year-old tenant allegedly hacked to death his landlord in broad daylight at Japorigog area of Guwahati on Friday afternoon.
The incident took place at Krishna area of Japorigog.
The deceased identified as Hemdhar Baruah.
According to reports, the tenant identified as Dharani Deka allegedly attacked Baruah with a sharp machete for misbehaving with his wife.
Reportedly, Deka surrendered himself at Dispur police station after committing the heinous crime.
Meanwhile, the landlord was immediately rushed to a private hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
It needs to be mentioned that Deka works as a DTP operator for a private news channel.
