Tezpur Protests Demand Justice for Imprisoned Monk, Condemns Bangladesh’s Persecution of Minorities

Tezpur: A wave of anger and solidarity swept through Tezpur today as hundreds of ISKCON devotees and concerned citizens gathered at Court Chariali to protest the unjust imprisonment of monk Chinmoy Krishna Das in Bangladesh.

The demonstration, jointly organized by the Lok Jagaran Manch Sonitpur District Committee and ISKCON, turned into a fervent appeal for justice and an end to the escalating persecution of Hindu and other minority communities in the neighboring country.

Protesters raised slogans condemning the Bangladeshi government’s alleged human rights violations and demanded the immediate release of the imprisoned monk. They expressed deep concern over the growing intolerance and violence faced by religious minorities in Bangladesh, calling upon the international community to intervene and ensure the safety and well-being of these vulnerable groups.

The rally served as a powerful platform to amplify the voices of those who are often silenced. Participants urged the Indian government to take a strong diplomatic stance and exert pressure on Bangladesh to respect human rights and religious freedom. As the protest concluded, the message was clear: the people of Tezpur stand united in their demand for justice, peace, and harmony in the region.
