‘The Grand Indian Freedom Parade’ Organised at War Memorial in Guwahati

Guwahati: A special programme was held at the War Memorial near Dighalipukhuri in Guwahati as part of the preparations for Independence Day, on Saturday.

The program’s theme was “The Grand Indian Freedom Parade.”

The chief guest of the event was retired Air Vice-Marshal Sanjib Bordoloi.

Reportedly, Bordoloi was accompanied by Devashish Sharma, Commissioner of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC).

Guwahati, like the rest of India, is preparing for the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, organised by Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, began today (August 13) and will continue until August 15.

Moreover, in order to strengthen the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, previously, the Kokrajhar district administration initiated a Tiranga-making training session in the district’s Anganwadi centres and schools.

However, many schools have led rallies with tricolour flags to raise awareness of the campaign.
