Guwahati: In a daring attack, a temple was looted by unidentified thieves in Noonmati area of Guwahati on Tuesday.
The incident took place at a temple in the Shivpur locality of the area.
According to reports, the unidentified persons barged into a temple and stole around Rs. 10,000 from the donation box.
Meanwhile, the number of thieves is yet to be ascertained who carried out the robbery.
Police officials informed that a case was registered and further investigation into the matter have been initiated.
According to reports, the temple has previously been plundered and the neighbourhood’s residents demanded increased protection.
