Guwahati: With the operations of the Assam Police against the illegal drug trade going on in the state, on Friday, a team of Assam police succeeded in apprehending four persons with a consignment of at least 50 Thousand Ya Ba tablets and cash amounting to Rs 19 lakh.
A police source stated that the suspected contraband was seized based on specific input from Dudhnoi in the Goalpara district. The drugs were seized from two SUVs and along with that four persons were nabbed. The police stated that the apprehended persons were suspected to be linked with an inter-state drug racket.
The police stated that they are tracking down all sorts of illegal activities and more people linked with the illegal trade will soon be arrested.
