Three arrested in woman advocate murder case in Barpeta

Guwahati: At least three persons has been arrested in the woman advocate murder case which took place in Barpeta district of Assam on Tuesday.

The arrestees were identified as Zakir Ali, Munmun Begum and Dhira Ali.

Besides this, one person identified as Bopayan Ali is on run. However, a search operation to nab the culprit is on.

Meanwhile, Munmun Begum is said to be sister-in-law of the victim.

The woman advocate was identified as Rinima Begum, who is a resident of Banbariya village, which is around 8 km from Barpeta town.

According to reports, Rinima had accompanied her elder sister who was unwell to a doctor’s chamber at Biloritarihat area in Barpeta town on Monday night when three persons in a motorcycle attacked her with sharp weapons and she was fatally stabbed.

It may be mentioned that she was immediately rushed to Barpeta Medical College Hospital in a critical condition, where the doctors declared her brought dead
