Churachandpur – Security forces have apprehended three individuals, among them two serving police constables, in connection with a recent firing incident that occurred in close proximity to a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp situated in the Churachandpur district, as stated by an official source.
The unsettling event unfolded on Thursday near the CRPF camp, which is located in the vicinity of the old Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) Guest House and the Churachandpur Medical College. During the incident, shots were discharged from a white vehicle. Promptly reacting to the situation, vigilant CRPF personnel on duty discharged a single round into the air as a precautionary measure to deter further action.
Immediately following the discharge of the shots, the involved vehicle sped away from the location. Law enforcement authorities swiftly registered a case pertaining to the incident and initiated a comprehensive investigation. The inquiry is being conducted under the direct supervision of Churachandpur Superintendent of Police, Prakhar Pandey, ensuring a thorough and meticulous approach.
In a determined effort to identify and apprehend the perpetrators, security forces meticulously examined closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage obtained from the area.
