Itanagar: Three police officers from Arunachal Pradesh have been bestowed with prestigious medals by the President of India.
Additional Director General of Police Vivek Kishore has been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, while Inspector General of Police Issac Pertin and Inspector Bhupen Buragohain have been honored with the Medal for Meritorious Service.
The President’s Medal for Distinguished Service is conferred upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service throughout their careers, while the Medal for Meritorious Service recognizes outstanding contributions characterized by dedication and resourcefulness.
This year, a total of 942 personnel from police, fire, home guard, civil defence, and correctional services across the country have been recognized for their commitment and service to the nation with various gallantry and service medals.
