Three Dead, One Injured in Army Vehicle Accident in Sikkim’s Pakyong District

Northeast Desk, 5th September: A tragic Army vehicle accident in Dalapchand under Sikkim’s Pakyong district claimed three lives today, with one person critically injured. The accident occurred in the early hours, and the injured individual is currently receiving medical treatment. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident, and further details are awaited.

This incident comes shortly after a similar tragedy on August 27, where three Army personnel lost their lives when their truck fell into a gorge near the Tapi area in Upper Subansiri, Arunachal Pradesh. The deceased were identified as Hav Nakhat Singh, Nk Mukesh Kumar, and Gdr Ashish.

Earlier in June, five soldiers were swept away in flash floods in Ladakh during a tank drill near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China. These incidents raise concerns about the safety of military personnel in challenging terrains.
