Guwahati: As many as three labourers were tragically killed after being overwhelmed by a landslide that occurred in Manipur on Friday morning.
The incident took place in Aizwal-Seling-Champhai road.
According to reports, the labourers were killed when a massive chunk of land unexpectedly collapsed on them as they were working on the highway.
The deceased have been identified as Ratan Mandal, Alok Mandal and Prem Kumar Mandal, all hailing from West Bengal.
The landslide’s cause is still unknown because it wasn’t raining, which could have caused it.
Meanwhile, local authorities arrived at the scene and removed the bodies for post-mortem.
